Privacy policy

Purpose

Forever Watch checks pre-order availability of World of Warcraft: Forever Collector's Edition on Blizzard Gear. It can send alerts and, when enabled, add the selected quantity to the user's store cart.

Local data

The extension stores settings, the desired quantity, notification preferences, a generated ntfy topic, an optional user-provided Discord webhook URL, availability results, cart-operation status and a bounded activity history in Chrome's local extension storage. This data is not synchronized through Chrome Sync or sent to an operator-owned server.

Discord webhook URLs are credentials. They are used only to send messages to the configured Discord endpoint and are masked in the settings interface. Each installation generates its own ntfy topic. Free ntfy topics are not access-controlled; anyone knowing a topic name can read or publish to it.

Requests to services

• Blizzard Gear: receives product availability requests. When carting is enabled or a cart test is requested, the extension reads cart line items and sends the chosen variant and missing quantity from a Blizzard Gear tab using the user's existing store session. The extension does not read or export browser cookie values. Cart data is processed to calculate and verify quantity; the full cart response is not retained by the extension.
• ntfy, if enabled: receives the topic name, notification text, public product link and notification presentation options. Messages may be cached by ntfy under its own policies.
• Discord, if enabled: receives requests authenticated by the provided webhook URL, notification text, public product link and mention settings. Messages remain in the configured channel under Discord's policies until deleted there.

These services also receive ordinary connection information such as IP address and request metadata. Their own privacy policies govern their handling of received information.

Data not collected

The extension has no analytics, advertising, operator backend or browsing-history collection. It does not collect payment-card information or submit purchases. It does not sell user data or use it for advertising. Packaged code is executed locally; no remote executable code is downloaded.

Control and deletion

Users can pause monitoring, disable carting, disable notification channels, or clear their webhook in settings. Removing the extension removes its local extension data. Removing it does not undo store cart changes or delete notifications already sent to external services. Remove store cart items or Discord messages through those services. Revoke a Discord webhook in Discord if it should no longer work.
